Een neuscorrectie ook wel Rinoplastiek genoemd, zoals een neusverkleining is een veel voorkomende operatie. Tijdens de neuscorrectie kan de plastisch chirurg de neus verkleinen, versmallen, de vorm van de neustip of neusrug veranderen, de hoek tussen neus of het neusschot rechtzetten. Ook is het mogelijk een geboorteafwijking of de gevolgen van een ongeval te corrigeren. Daarnaast wordt de neuscorrectie soms toegepast om ademhalingsproblemen te verhelpen. Meestal vindt de operatie plaats onder algehele narcose.

Welke chirurgische technieken zijn er bij de neuscorrectie?

Er zijn twee hoofdtypen neuscorrectieprocedures:

Open: Open neuscorrectie is een procedure voor een grote neushervorming. UBij deze techniek wordt een kleine incisie gemaakt in de huid tussen de neusgaten en wordt de structuur van de neus blootgelegd. Het genezingsproces duurt langer en bijwerkingen zoals oedeem en blauwe plekken komen vaak voor.

Gesloten: Gesloten neuscorrectie is een kleine procedure voor het hervormen van de neus. Uw chirurg maakt incisies om de huid van bot en kraakbeen te scheiden om deze opnieuw vorm te geven. De hersteltijd is korter en er zijn geen hechtingen meer.

Hoe wordt een neuscorrectie uitgevoerd?

Als je een Rhinoplastie ondergaat, is het belangrijk om je goed voor te bereiden op de operatie. Bij Deluxe Clinics kunnen wij je helpen je voor te bereiden op de grote dag. De dag van de operatie wordt een uitgebreid medisch onderzoek uitgevoerd om uw algemene gezondheidstoestand te beoordelen. Belangrijke tests zoals bloedonderzoek, röntgenfoto’s van de borstkas en ECG’s geven de nodige informatie over de geschiktheid voor anesthesie. De operatie duurt ongeveer 2 tot 2,5 uur en vindt plaats onder volledige narcose op de operatiekamer. Met de narcose en het uitslapen erbij bent u een aantal uur op het operatiecomplex. Na de operatie als u goed genoeg wakker bent en uw bloeddruk en ademhaling in orde zijn kunt u terug naar de verpleegafdeling. De pijn na de operatie is meestal gering en altijd goed met pijnstillers te bestrijden. Voor deze operatie verblijft u 1 nacht in het ziekenhuis onder toezicht van de arts.

Voorschriften voor de operatie

Ten minste twee weken voor de operatie moeten medicijnen zoals bloedverdunners, aspirine en ibuprofen, die bloedingen kunnen verhogen niet ingenomen worden.
Ten minste een week voor de operatie wordt raden wij niet aan om te roken of alcohol te drinken tot de dag van de operatie, omdat deze factoren het genezingsproces negatief kunnen beïnvloeden.
Op de ochtend van de operatie moet je met een lege maag naar het ziekenhuis komen. U mag minimaal 8 uur voor de operatie niets meer eten en drinken.
