PRP oftewel Plasma wordt door uw eigen bloed gemaakt. Afhankelijk van de behandeling zal er een buisje bloed van u afgenomen worden. Het buisje wordt vervolgens in een speciaal apparaat geplaatst. Dit apparaat zorgt ervoor dat de PRP wordt gescheiden van de andere bloedcellen. In het PRP-plasma zitten verschillende groei-elementen, die een positieve invloed hebben op uw haargroei. Het plasma wordt vervolgens door de behandelende arts in de hoofdhuid geïnjecteerd met een speciale apparaat. Dit deel van de PRP-behandeling duurt ongeveer 30 minuten en de pijn is minimaal. Een PRP-behandeling wordt toegepast in meerdere sessies. Door de gespecialiseerde arts wordt bepaald hoeveel sessies er nodig zijn, afhankelijk van de haarstructuur en dikte van het haar. Ons advies is om na de haartransplantatie binnen 1 jaar tussen 4 tot 6 sessies van PRP-behandeling te laten toepassen met een interval van 2 of 3 maanden. De jaren hierna kunt u volstaan met 1 sessie per jaar als u dat wenst.

Voor de behandeling moet je goed ontbijten of eten voordat je naar de behandeling komt. Met een lege maag kan je tijdens de behandeling onwel worden. U mag voor de behandeling ook geen koffie of drinken met cafeïne zoals Redbull drinken.

Drink voldoende water(2 tot 2,5 liter minimaal) voor de komende dagen na een PRP behandeling. U mag na de behandeling 18 uur lang niet naar de sauna, stoombad, zonnebank en naar de zwembad. Wij raden ook niet aan om sportactiviteiten te uitvoeren tot de volgende dag.
